Of Milk and Honey is hosting a pop up shop on Saturday May 18th in support of Redemption School for grades K-8. A portion of our profits will be donated directly to the school. A multi-family garage sales is being held at the same time, so there will be plenty of shopping to do!
Join me at the 20th annual Herb & Food Fair at Bastyr University. I will be giving a beekeeping presentation, and there will be others throughout the day along with cooking demos, garden tours, live music, a plant sale, and kids activities.
We will be at a new location for the sale this year!
This is our 5th year, and you won't be disappointed! Our peppers are the biggest, most robust plants that we have ever grown. They are so big, in fact, that they took over the greenhouses and made getting our tomatoes started difficult. So this year I have worked with a couple of other gardeners to make sure that we have a good selection and a large quantity of tomato plants. Varieties will include a selection of heirlooms, cherry tomatoes, romas, and beefsteaks. Peppers will include the hottest of the hot! See our plant list under the More tab for a complete list of varieties that we expect to have this season. In addition to tomatoes and peppers, we will also have a number of herbs, pollinator-friendly flowering plants, and other vegetable starts. In all, I expect to have about 600 plants!
I will be happy to talk to visitors about raising bees of all kinds, including honey bees and gentle mason & leafcutter bees. Houses, nesting materials, and complete kits will be available at the sale.
The sale is taking a place at a new location. Some of my children are students at Redemption School in Lynnwood, and they are having a multi-family garage sale on the same date. The space is huge, with plenty of parking, so it just made sense to move my plant sale there for this year.
Please spread the word, these plants need good homes!
